Deborah’s story

“Back in August 06 my son Tim had a massive brain hemorriage and was a very ill young man for quite some time. As a result he has permenant memory loss and every day things can be a task for him.

Being 18 at the time and a busy teen having to rest, build up weight and spending so much time in the isis unit relearning skills was a huge task for him. He’s now bounced back to his near normal self with a lot of love and support. His memory will always be a problem for him.

NZCU South were a huge part of that support in his after care. We opened him accounts and the staff were just fantastic and so very helpful and understanding towards Tim’s needs.

With his memory the way it is a staff member would ring instead of sending out a letter so he could speak person to person. They made life so much easier at a time where things were tough for us. Our local Credit Union is still a big part of our lives. We love you all, you really are the best. We could not ask for nicer people or a better banking support for Tim.” – Deborah
