What do I need to apply for a Personal Loan?
When applying for a loan there are a few things that we will require. In the application we’ll ask you a few questions about your finances and personal details.
Once you’ve completed the application, we’ll also need to see some documents to help us assess your application. For those of you applying on-line, we’ll contact you about the best way to get these to us.
The following are acceptable means to provide proof of identity including a photograph, current residential address and date of birth:
- Valid Driver’s Licence confirming licence number is generally mandatory for all loans.
- New Zealand Passport – Current or Expired (not more than 2 years ago) but not “Cancelled”, confirming passport number.
- A recent utility or bank statement showing your current address.
Confirmation of Income:
If your salary/wages have been deposited into your NZCU South account we will be able to verify your income from your account information. If not, we’ll need to see proof of your income.
Details of your financial situation:
We will require details of any existing debts, expenses, assets and liabilities to help us assess your application. Bank statements and Debt statements, (eg. Credit Card statements etc), may be requested.
