Dunedin executives dusted off their aprons last night for the inaugural FoodShare CEO Cook-off last night. Held at the Forbury Park function centre in Dunedin, NZCU South Chief Executive Tania Dickie, together with 19 high-profile chief executives and business managers from around the country, paired up with 10 New Zealand celebrity chefs. Their efforts produced an outstanding meal for paying guests, raising over $50,000 for FoodShare.
Tania paired up with executive chef Hannes Bareiter of Glenfallock Restaurant and Pieter Brits of FoodShare to produce a main course and a dessert. The main course included barbecued lamb loin, Lot 8 Olives, ancient grains, picked raisin, asparagus and vadouvan, with dessert comprising citrus variations, orange, tonka bean, mandarin, almond, yuzu, white chocolate and olive oil.
A big thank you to all involved, both the participants and the guests, in particular those that supported Tania by sponsorship. NZCU South is proud to sponsor FoodShare within the Dunedin community, in caring for the vulnerable and at risk people in our communities.
