Kiwiharvest is a charitable organisation and was founded in Dunedin in 2012 by Deborah Manning. Kiwiharvest’s mission is to collect food that is good enough to eat but not to sell and to distribute it to charities that feed the homeless and other people in our community who do not have enough to eat.  Kiwiharvest is run as a social venture with a close focus on efficiency as well as the good that is done.    NZCU South is proud to be a major sponsor of Kiwiharvest to ensure people in our community have enough to eat.

Sydenham Rugby Club – Premier Sponsorship

NZCU South and Christchurch Sydenham Rugby Club have entered into a new and exciting sponsorship venture. Sydenham Rugby Club strives to be more than just a successful club, they aim to promote community spirit and give to local youth the opportunity to participate in a sport within a supportive environment that fosters strong family values. This sponsorship partnership aligns closely with our vision and values of fostering strong family values. NZCU South Young Membership Scholarships

Our scholarship programme comprises of up to three scholarships to the value of $5000.00 each. The scholarships are aimed to recognise young members or their family members to assist in the undertaking and payment of part or full time study or involvement in activities in the areas of academia, arts, music or sports within New Zealand or overseas. Applicants must be aged 28 or under as at 30 November. 

 

Relay for Life

Relay For Life:

Relay For Life is an inspiring community event that gives everyone a chance to celebrate cancer survivors and carers; remember loved ones lost to cancer; and fight back by raising awareness and funds to support the work of the Cancer Society.  NZCU South supports Relay For Life by fundraising and team members walk or jog through the night.  In the morning, teams come together for an inspiring closing ceremony.
